यहां पर एक टूटी हवेली नूमा छोटी सी कोटरी है। जिसमें कोई भी नहीं आता जाता। माना जाता है कि इस अंधेरी कोठरी में जो भी गया वो वापस नहीं लौटा। 7 लोगों की मौत की गवाह इस भूतिया कोठरी को यहां के प्रशासन ने भी सील किया हुआ है।डायनों को अपने वश में करने के लिए यहा कई तांत्रिकों ने अपनी पूरी शक्ति लगा दी। लेकिन इस बीच एक दो तांत्रिकों को भी मौत का सामना करना पड़ा। जिसके बाद तांत्रिक भी यहां की डायनों को अपने वश में करने से घबराने लगे। कहा जाता है कि गांव में हर अमवस्या और पूर्णिमा की रात को कोई नहीं रहता। हालांकि यह काफी पुरानी बात है। अब लोग अपने घरों को अच्छे से बंद कर वहीं रहते हैं।  

 गांव के कुछ लोगों ने यह अनुभव किया है कि अक्सर रास्ते में चलते वक्त उन्हें अजीबोगरीब आवाजें सुनाई देती है, लेकिन पीछे मुड़ने पर कोई नहीं होता। गांव के सुधाकर नाम के व्यक्ति ने तो अपनी बाइक पर एक डायन को लिफ्ट तक दी थी। काफी लंबा रास्ता तय करने के बाद उसे अहसास हुआ कि पीछे कोई बैठा ही नहीं था जांजगीर के लोगो का मानना है कि यहां कई साल पहले एक खूबसूरत महिला के साथ गांव के कुछ शराबी लोगों ने बलात्कार किया उसे बंदी बनाकर रख दिया और बाद में उसकी उस महिला की बेरहमी से हत्या कर दी। इसके बाद वही डायन बनकर यहाँ अपना बदला पूरा करती है
